MAXIMISING FLOW RATES
When considering screens of equal length, diameter and slot size, flow rates through V-Wire screens can be:
• 3 times higher than with bridge-slot screens.
• 9 times higher than with slotted casing.
NON-CLOGGING SLOT
The shape of the V-Wire means that the slot opens inwards. This means that particles not able to pass through the slot will have only two points of contact, one on either side. This implies that with this design of screen the slots are non-clogging.
CONSTRUCTION
The design of the V-Wire screen allows it to adapt perfectly to the aquifer formation:
• The sizes of the slot and the V-Wire determine the screen’s open area.
• The shape and height of the V-Wire section and the screen diameter determine its collapse strength.
• The number of support rods and their section surface determine the tensile strength of the screen.
